About the green olive tree (Israel)
What is the green olive tree? It is Israel:
(Jer 11:16) The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, [and] of goodly fruit...
The first believers in Yeshua: shlichim (apostles),
talmidim (the disciples of Yeshua) - were Jews. They are the firstfruits of
the green olive tree. Rabbi Shaul (apostle Paul) said:
(Rom 11:16) For if the firstfruit [be] holy, the lump [is]
also [holy]: and if the root [be] holy, so [are]
the branches.
Then (in verse 17) Shaul said that some
of the natural branches were broken off. They are
Jews who didn't believe in Messiah Yeshua. After that gentiles who believed
in Him were grafted in among them and became ''with them partakest of the root
and fatness of the olive tree'':
(Rom 11:17) And if some of the branches be broken off,
and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them
partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
We see the green olive tree has the natural branches (the firstfruits - Jews who believed in Yeshua) and the grafted branches (gentiles who believed in Him).
Now let us to tell about the branches who fell off. Shaul said:
(Rom 11:11) I say then, Have they stumbled that they
should fall? God forbid: but [rather] through
their fall salvation [is come] unto the
Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
How can Christians provoke Jews to jealousy? To
share the Good News with them, to tell them Yeshua is their promised Messiah
Whom prophets prophesied about.
(Rom 11:12) Now if the fall of them [be] the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
What are these riches?
Firstly it is salvation for people (Rom. 11:11). Many thousands people believed in Messiah Yeshua and received salvation!
Bible tells us the riches of Messiah are unsearchable:
(Eph 3:8) Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
Bible tells us about:
- the riches of the glory of G-d:
(Rom 9:23) And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
- the riches of His grace:
(Eph 1:7) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
(Eph 2:7) That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
- the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints:
(Eph 1:17) That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
(Eph 1:18) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Then Shaul said:
(Rom 11:24) For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural [branches], be graffed into their own olive tree?
(Rom 11:25) For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
(Rom 11:26) And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
(Rom 11:27) For this [is]
my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Rom 11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
Rom 11:19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
Rom 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
Rom 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, [take heed] lest he also spare not thee.
Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity
of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou
continue in [his] goodness: otherwise thou also
shalt be cut off.
Rom 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises [made] unto the fathers:
Rom 15:9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for [his] mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
Rom 15:10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
THE GREAT MISSION which we have is:
(Rom 1:16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of
Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;
to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
The raising of the tabernacle of David
Please read these lines of Amos 9:
"In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by My name, saith the LORD that doeth this. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit [them]; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God." (Amos 9:11-15)
Now G-d is raising up the tabernacle of David that is fallen. Many thousands Jews believed in Messiah Yeshua.
Too please read these lines:
"And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit [them]; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them."
These events began in 1948 especially (Israel State).
We read too: "... they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by My name..."
G-d wants all people would believe in Yeshua Messiah.
In Acts we read:
"After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom My name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things." (Acts 15:16-17)
Please read these lines once more: "... That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom My name is called..."
Now G-d is raising up Jewish constituent in the Body of Messiah.
