"Pray for the peace of
Jerusalem..."
Dear friends!
Do you know how many times does Bible say about Yerushalaim (Jerusalem)? You can open the Word of God and to see that many
times Bible says about Yerushalaim (Jerusalem).
21 Blessed be the LORD
out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD. Psalms 135:21
God want we would to pray for peace of Yerushalaim (Jerusalem):
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love
thee. Psalms 122:6
Did God forget His people?
5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her
cunning. Psalms 137:5
6 If I do not remember thee, let my tongue
cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy. Psalms 137:6
2 The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts
of Israel. Psalms 147:2
3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the
mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and
we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from
Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:3
23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the
sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients
gloriously. Isaiah 24:23
5 As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem;
defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it. Isaiah 31:5
7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make
Jerusalem a praise in the earth. Isaiah 62:7
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice
of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. Isaiah
65:19
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD;
and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither
shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. Jeremiah
3:17
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name
of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as
the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. Joel 2:32
16
The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and
the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope
of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. Joel
3:16
20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to
generation. Joel 3:20
3 Thus saith the LORD; I am returned
unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the
LORD of hosts the holy mountain. Zechariah 8:3
8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall
be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. Zechariah 12:8
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to
destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. Zechariah 12:9
There are very
important lines in another verse of Zechariah too:
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of
Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon Me
Whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourneth for his only
son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his
firstborn.
We can read that "Jerusalem shall be safely
inhabited":
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more
utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. Zechariah
14:11
There are these lines in Bible too:
16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the
nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the
King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. Zechariah
14:16

In conclusion I want to cite these lines:
25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my
people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
Isaiah 19:25
17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation:
ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end. Isaiah
45:17
