Messianic Jewish movement consists of Jews and Gentiles believing in
Yeshua, Messiah of Israel and the Saviour of all mankind. The first disciples
of Yeshua were Jews. Then Gentiles believed in Him too, they were grafted in
Israel.
Messianic movement was re-created in the 70-th years of the last century. It
isn't great one. There are some hundreds Messianic congregations in USA,
Israel, Ukraine, Russia etc., many thousands Messianic believers all over the
world. But we need to perform the large mission,
to fulfill the great tasks!
Messianic Judaism is ''the
bridge'' between Jews and Christians to reconcile both ones and the others in
Yeshua (Jesus). We are nought without Yeshua: ''... without Me ye can do nothing.'' (John 15:5)
We need:
1) To share the Good News with the Jewish people firstly (Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.), to tell them Yeshua is the
Promised Messiah, the prophecies of Tanakh (the Old Testament) came true in
Him;
2) To open the Jewish roots of Christianity to all Christians.
When we share the Good News with the Jews we need to tell them Yeshua was
Jewish, about that Yeshua was brought up as Jew, observed Torah, went to
synagogue on shabat, observed the holidays (Luk 2:40-42; Matt 17:24-26;
Luk 4:16; John 2:13, 5:1; John 7:8-14, 37-39; John 10:22-23).
Yeshua told:
Matt 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am
not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Matt 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one
tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Please draw your attention to these lines:
Matt 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and
shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but
whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the
kingdom of heaven.
All Bible (Tanakh (the Old Testament) and Brit Hadasha (the New Testament)) is
the Jewish Book. Jew believing in Yeshua is a
full, perfect Jew!
Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi:
Ruth 1:16 ... thy people [shall be] my people, and thy God my God:
Every Christian needs to repeat these words of
Ruth!
God told Abraham:
Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth
thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
That's why it is necessary to bless the Jewish
people: to share the Good News with Jews, to pray for peace in Jerusalem etc.
Messianic Judaism isn't denomination. It is the international movement for
Yeshua, ''a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar
people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out
of darkness into his marvellous light'' (1Pet 2:9). All Christians must be ''a
royal priesthood''.
Messianic Judaism also exposes the vile lies and hatred called anti-Semitism.
Pharaoh and Haman were the first anti-semits. Then there were many
''pharaohs'' and ''hamans'' else who hurted Jewish people: read about Antioch
Epiphan, about the crusades, the inquisition, pogroms, Holocaust.
Holocaust - one of the most terrible and bloody pages of World War 2. These
events are close to me personally. Seven my relatives were shot in
Drobitsky yar in Kharkov (Ukraine), together with thousands other people
during the World War 2.
Repentance
"Repentance just allows Jesus Christ would take the blame upon Himself!
This (blame) doesn't pass on the people! If we repent, this doesn't mean the
sin pass on us. (Repentance) means Christ removes this sin from our land in
order to it would clear and to receive the healing (one can hear loud cheers).
We allow to Christ to cleanse our land.
In which connection we shall be repent for the (Jewish) people. Jesus Christ
is Jewish too. (We need repent) for that His Jewish brothers were killed. If
He Himself, Jewish, had given His life in order to save us it isn't difficult
to repent us. We don't need give our life... He takes ... responsibility in
order to (via this repentance) the blessing would come for this land.'' (From
the speech of pastor Sunday Adelaja on leaders' service in central church of
The Embassy of God, the end of May 2006 http://www.messcom.org.ua/2006/06/03/sandey/)
''There was a big anti-semitism in Romania too. During the war some of
Romanians greatly helped to nazis. But the other people rescued Jews. I talked
with one serious priest of Romanian Orthodox church, and he told me there were
not mass extermination of Jews in that part of Romania where church proclaimed
Jews are God's people and one ought not to kill Jews. ... in this part of
Romania Romanians didn't kill Jews, Romanians guarded them from nazis. In the
other part of Romania where Orthodox church didn't do this but propagated
anti-semitism, it took place the mass excision Jews by not only nazis but by
Romanians too.
After the war the drought was just in this part of Romania. 1945-th year -
the drought on a big territory of Romania, 1946-th year - the drought. 1947-th
year - the drought. Then Orthodox priests gathered the thousands
of people, explained them a cause, found surviving Jews, and many people came
to these Jews, kneeled to them, prayed and repented of that they themselves
and other Romanians had done against of ... the killed Jews.
What happened here? After this public act of repentence there was a downpour
the next day, and the curse was removed from this large area of Romania."
